Spencers - when I was young was synonymous with soda water and tonic water - add ons for whiskey and gin.. Over the years it grew out to be a super market and a mall. Probably they were the first to bring shopping mall concept...More

If you wanted to buy cheap then this is the best place. However quality is not bad even if it is cheap. Most of the escalator and lifts are in shabby condition due to age. I suggest haggle while shopping.

Perhaps it was once the only Mall in Chennai, but today its old, and its odd to see antique shops jostling with cheap apparel shops.
