This expansive beach is Chennai's most famous tourist attraction, though the undercurrent is too strong for all but the strongest swimmers. Look out for the "Kannagi" statue on Marina Beach, which tells the story of the legendary character from a South Indian epic.

Marina beach is one of the or is the longest beach in india. It's really long, making it really impossible to cover the whole of it in a single visit. The beach is well maintained and clean and is a must visit while in Chennai

Try some seafood, especially prawns at a roadside restaurant. Better not stay too late (say after mid night). Also don't offer any money to the begging kids (otherwise you will not be able to have a peaceful return back to your hotel).

One of the landmarks in chennai and must visit places. Not many things to do in the beach per se other than sitting and watching the waves if lucky. Try the fish fry available. Visit the CMs memorial

I Visited two times this Marina Beach, I love its sea Shore sound and its cleanness environment. On this beach you may avail tasty roasted sea fishes with delicious preparation.

Marina Beach is one of the beautiful beaches I have ever seen in my life. It was a weekend and a sunny Sunday. The roads were shining with the mirage effect. The beach is beautiful and you will love the environment around.

Nice beach but inadequate maintenance. We visited the beach on a week day and was not much crowded. During the evenings lot of families with their kids came for entertainment here. Horse ride is also available in evenings.

One of the best place to hangout in chennai. Being the 2nd largest beach in the world and 1st in india, it is a great place to pass time at. Good ambience. Sure suggestion if you visit chennai.
