A Sacred place to Visit

It is believed that Goddess Parvati resides here in the form of Peacock. The Temple is very nice in the view of Architecture.

It is believed that Goddess Parvati resides here in the form of Peacock. The Temple is very nice in the view of Architecture.

Reminds the old architecture and really a diving place with peaceful atmosphere. Those who visit Chennai must definitely visit this temple.

well maintained temple. located in the centre of the city. Car parking is a big issue. Better to go by taxi or public transport. there are places to sit and relax. Above all powerful God & Goddess

A great spiritual experience. A big Ganapathy temple, then a Parvathy temple known Karpagambal temple and the great shiva in the form of a big shivalinga. A Navagraha is also there. Enough car parking around temple.....

A must visit temple in Chennai. Ideal to visit during Navrathri days. You can see different type of beautification of God idols.

Such a fantastic temple with a perfect idle of god...but surroundings are very nasty nobody taken care of that..difficulty in parking in that area is expected..inspite of that u much visit..

Best time to visit the temple is in the early morning where not much crowd and most importantly the Gomatha pooja happens almost every day.

Must-visit and recommend for any tourist or traveller or even an atheist! Main deity is Kapaleeswar, lord Shiva. Devi Karpagambal, Goddess Parvati is also consecrated here. Divine ambience; quite a large outer parikrama courtyard. Regular music and dance festivals are held inside the premises - mainly in November December and January months. In other months too. The temple tank used... More
