One of the most visited places of Darjeeling. The temple ic adorned with colorful flags showing the influence of Buddhism on a Hindu temple. The temple is dedicated to Shiva and Kali and one must see the Phool-pati utsav during dussera (Dashami).

it's next to chowrasta, going uphill for 15 minutes walk from there. it's surrounded by lush green tall trees. Ambience is refreshing. A place for your own and quality time. If time permits must visit and feel it.

The Mahakal or Bhairab Nath Temple is situated just 200 mtrs way from Darjeeling mall or chowrasta. The way to temple is in Mahakal Market. Little stiff climbing is required to reach. The temple's architecture is of Buddhist architecture. Jai Baba Mahakal.
