This peaceful and well presented museum is fascinating. The exhibits a bit dusty but very informative. Definitely worth a visit.

One must visit this place to see the zoo animals and the history of mountaineering. take atleast 2 hours to visit this place.

A small but interesting museum about mountaineering. The memorabilia shows how historically the equipment was so basic. A great insight into the courage of those determined to conquer Everest. Highly recommend a visit.

Great place to visit and learn about mountaineering. One can see different types of accessories used in mountaineering. Good learning experience.

The entry fee is Rs. 50 for both HMI and the Zoo packed together. Camera fee is Rs. 10. The time depends on you. For ourselves, it took more than 3 hours to visit the two. Also there is a Natural History Museum in the zoo... More
