One of the South's best trophy smallmouth impoundments and popular for crappie and catfish. Runs from Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia to the Alabama-Mississippi Border.

Grew up around the corner from this place. It's awesome. Not much to do if you don't have a boat, though. You CAN rent....but it's not cheap. Also, "big" boats on the TN river are scary for small crafts.

My husband loves to fish there both on the bank and sometimes he carries his boat. It a beautiful place to ride thru and just park and relax.

This is a fishermen's dream.. Beautiful water.. Great place to walk and enjoy the scenery.. Restaurant on site, also hotel,place to camp,and they even rent cabins

Loved the cabin rentals golf course boat rentals lots to do . although we decided to go with Double Head Resort in Elgin Al.just a short distance away. Pickwick is still amazing

Very nice lake with some huge bass. The lack of short term rental, covered boat slips in the Florence area means you must pull your boat out every night or leave it exposed to the weather and potential theft.

Pickwick Lake and the TN River are most beautiful. Beats anything we've seen on the east coast. Look forward to returning here.
