Nice wide beach regardless of the tide. Surf is generally. Nice white sand that doesn't ever seem to get hot and plenty of space so you aren't cramped up against a fellow sun bather. Some areas have rental beach chairs with umbrellas. Lots of public...More

All the condos have beach access locked up. It’s nice to see that Gulf Shores has carved out a little spot for the public that aren’t spending the day or the weekend in an expensive condo. Right at the end of Hwy 59 are the...More

Great bathrooms, white clean sand and sidewalks everywhere. Close to food. Life guards to watch over everyone. It’s hard to find a cleaner beach anywhere.

If you are planning to take a beach vacation to the west coast of Florida before school starts, forget about it. Red Tide is devastating beaches on the gulf coast and can cause health problems in humans, especially those with asthma or other pulmonary problems....More

Clear water and white sand. This was a very nice clean beach, short walking distance from the parking lot and had clean restrooms and out door showers. Great family area.

Warm water, gentle waves, and lots of space for everyone. Some beaches are more developed with benches and canopies while others are more sand and surf without the commercialization.

We LOVE the beach at Gulf Shores. However, we had to move our canopy. The Beach Patrol personnel informed us we needed to move locations. They helped us packup, load up and move everything from coolers, chairs, canopy to grandma.! They were awesome.

It is very common for pop up storms to occur in GS and last a few hours. I’ve been to Gulf Shores over ten times in a span of twenty plus years and I can only remember one or two days in that time where it rained all day.
