We went here with our two year old daughter and it was a good time. She had a lot of fun feeding the animals. The zoo is not overly large so it was perfect for her toddler-size attention span!

This zoo is a nonprofit so they depend on admissions and donations to survive. The zoo is small compared to large cities but it has lions, tigers, bear, wolves, gators, including Chucki the 700 pound gator. There are also a large variety of birds and reptiles. We were lucky to observe a demonstration with a large owl flying from one... More

We decided to take our two boys here since it was too cold to go to the beach. Our two and a half year old loved looking at all the animals. Yes it does cost a little bit to go through but my thoughts on that is they have to pay their employees and feed and maintain the animals. We... More

My niece and I spent the day and enjoyed every minute. Staff go above and beyond any large zoo. Very informative about the animals. Recommend this zoo over Birmingham or New York zoo

We visited this zoo on a Saturday afternoon. It was fairly busy. The zoo has all kinds of animals and reptiles. I particularly loved the bird aviary. It was so cool to see all the different birds and listen to the parrots talk as we walked by. There are beautiful lions and tigers and bears 😊. It is a clean... More

This small but educational zoo is wonderful. You are able to get up close to almost all the animals. Very interesting to see their unique behaviors and interaction with the zoo keepers. You can tell they are loved and well cared for. My favorite time to go is thirty minutes before closing because the animals are more active and looking... More

This facility is small but has a vast variety of animals. What impressed us most was the cleanliness of the cages. It was clear the staff were extremely hardworking and cared about the living conditions of the animals.

This is my second visit to this zoo and I feel it is a not to be missed place when visiting the gulf. Always feel that I can get up close with the residents. It is small, thus its name but has survived two hurricanes. In Katrina, I was told that the employees help house the animals to keep them... More
