Best variety of kuehs I have even seen in 1 place!

We went in search for this particular place due to the hyped reviews online but once we have a taste, they didn't really amount much for me personally. While I may not be a huge fan of Malaysian kuih in general, I have tasted better kuih than the ones I purchased here. What I did like though, were the kuih... More

The Curry Laksa is a must-try! Though it is a little too spicy for me, the laksa taste is rich! The Nyonya Kuihs are tasty, too!

I was blown away by the variety of food items in this place. Other than the freshly made kuehs (which were still warm at 11:30am), there were plenty of Chinese NY goodies and cookies as well as several curries and savourites. My favourite by far is the spicy pulut bakar kueh. My cousin swears by the kueh jongkong which has... More

This place is a must for Nonya Kueh enthusiast. The choices are varied and comprehensive. We sampled all of the kueh on sale and they were very good. We also tried their pie tee cup and popia and they were excellent. This place is like a factory complex dishing out the local delicacies. THis is indeed a tourist attraction worth... More

The place was a sight in itself. Busy kitchen, endless number of nyonya kuehs. Some of which are not available in my country. The variety is enormous. You are at a loss for choices. I bought a sampling. I love the Kueh Dada. Very smooth and coconut is so fresh. It is dada heaven. Now I am convinced that that... More

Baba Charlie Nyoya Cake house is considered as one of the top place which serves traditional nyoya's confectionery. It has a various variety of dessert ranging from sticky rice types to fried spring roll skin filled with chicken floss snack which commonly known as "fried popiah". The place is quite crownded during weekends and hence getting there during the morning... More

I gues it is another example of crowd mentality. The place is swarmed with people, mostly brought by buses and tour guides. The kuih is average, I prefer the taste to be more sweet, more "santan", more fragrant....the kuih here felt bit flat and bland. It may fit to some others taste bud.

We decided to try the kuih (traditional nyonya cakes) in this place as a result of the rave reviews. The variety of cakes is impressive but unfortunately none of the selection we purchased was particularly outstanding with a couple, sri muka and ondeh ondeh, being disappointing. The ondeh ondeh I purchased on Jonker St from a lady vendir was far... More

Searched out this place in Tengkera for its much vaunted Nonya Kuehs. Left with a good variety of different sweet kuehs and cookies. Ate some with tea, in Highway "service stops" on the long drive of our continuing journey. Ate the rest the same evening. Frankly they may be fresh but taste and textures were pretty bland and indifferent. Sorry... More
