A concentrated area for the early Chinese settlement. Now a very popular tourist attraction with a lot of night stall at night.

A lot people might recommended the place to be visited by tourists but I personally feel it was over-rated. However, there are a few interesting places that might intrigued a 1st time Melaka tourist. Just don't get infuriated with the so-called antiques. But the food sold along the road is fantastic!

This quaint little chinese colony shows how the chinese inhabited this place and made this their own over decades. Thet have several pagoda, famous eateries and settlements to call their own.

First of all, if its possible, avoid saturday and sunday, or public holiday. The traffic around is terrible and usually 30 mins or more, to q for dinner / lunch. Look at the good side, you know that the restaurant is serving good food when u notice there's a long q in the front it.

Rows of shops selling Chinese cultured artifacts can be found here and there are plenty of foot reflexology shops too . It is a good place for us to buy memorable items while in Malacca as souvenir.

When in Melaka you must take a walk through Chinatown. It simply buzzes with activity. There are Chinese temples and shops with so many different things for sale.
