Small fountain in front of Christ church. The fast flowing water was very pleasant to listen to. It seems like a central meeting place: some gushers to add to the life there.

The reason to go to Melaka is the colonial history. This statute is an important part of it, so hard to miss when viviting the old town.

Besides the remarkable Christ Church that epitomises the heart of the UhNESCO world heritage site of Malacca, the Queen Victoria's fountain also serves as a monumental landmark. So, I've read elsewhere that this was added recently to 'spice up' the area. In fact, the fountain was built in 1901, which makes it 115 years old (perhaps read the inscriptions, that is what they're there for). Throngs of people in this busy square. Be careful of touts and look after the belongings. Otherwise, a great place to take a picture amidst the crowd. Also, it is very hot, morning or afternoon, no place to hide/shade.

Great for photos and meeting point, buses can be hopped on here and plenty of places to hire bicycles are closeby.

This fountain was not their originally and seems to be done much later . However it adds lot of value to the square and the people who visit there.
