We were able to park here, as the crowds that day were small. The hostess at the desk was VERY helpful and pleasant. The Visitor's Center is in an old railroad depot. It lies in a good proximity to many of Montgomery's Historic Sites.

As other reviewers have noted, the staff was welcoming and helpful. We did have a bit of difficulty "engaging" the person helping us. She had strong feelings about where she wanted us to visit while in town, and we had some specific places we were...More

Having no signs or confusing signs seems to be an Alabama quirk. If you are at the front of the visitor center all parking spaces to either side are reserved. However, you can just park in the turn around with yellow curbs and go in....More

The visitor center is in an historic train depot that was central to the developement of Montgomery. The docent was extremely pleasant and helpful. Along with all the usual pamplets they have a video displaying sites to see and it`s down by the riverwalk.

Enjoyed the workmanship of Union Station. Very helpful assistants working at the Visitors Center. And it is air conditioned which was really nice the day we stopped in.

This was the only place I could find that sold your basic souveniers....magnets, keychains, coffee mugs. Not a big variety, but a bit of everything. Employee was very friendly.

Might be a problem. There is a parking garage, but doubt you could fit in there.
