The BackCountry Trail in Orange Beach/Gulf Shores is a delight. The various trails meander through various eco-zones, from pine woods to swamp. The trails are all paved and one can take a short bike ride/walk of a mile or two, or go on a 10-15 mile ride. We've seen bikers, walkers, runners, skaters, etc. The trails are all paved, mostly... My wife & I took our bikes to the park & rode for 1 1/2 hours today. Everything was maintained well & restrooms were clean. Lots of friendly folks walking, biking, & running the trails. Saw a couple of alligators and a black racer snake. Wish all parks were this organized and clean. We'll definitely go back.

Lots of walking trails, flat terrain, bathrooms available on the trail, as well as several spots to stop and rest on a bench or swing. Paved but not very wide, so be on the lookout for other walkers and bikers.

The Hugh Banyon Trail system in Orange Beach is an excellent walking, running and biking trail. Turtles, snakes , alligators can be seen on the trail.

This area has created a jewel for getting out doors in the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores area. Wide paved trails have be made on out logging roads and trails. There is great signage for distances and intersecting trails. I have never seen so many benches, swings, picnic areas or restrooms on any other trail system I have used. It is well... More

We enjoyed walking on the trails everyday. There are 6 or 7 different trails and each one is a little different. The trail is flat and easy to walk. There are many birds to enjoy. You might even see the alligator we saw. It was a very nice addition to our trip to Orange Beach

Everyone goes to the beach so who would ever think of a beautiful nature trail right across the street! Mile and miles of scenic paved paths and wood bridges to bicycle, hike or walk! It's amazing and it is right across from Phoenix West II. Grab your camera and enjoy the scenic trails of the Backcountry Trail

So many beautiful trails and sights to see and explore. Each trail has different scenery and geography. Make a day of exploring and being submersed in nature. Pack a picnic lunch and go for a walk, ride, or whatever suits your fancy. When the beach isn't calling your name, these amazing trails and nature are singing to you.
