Come here after the Shanghai Museum. There are plenty of street food places where you can get a takeaway lunch and relax for half an hour. Surprisingly, no scammers made an approach which made for an even more relaxing break!

Nice park in downtown Shanghai. The marriage market is very strange - talk about a meat market. Lots of open spaces and we were there in time for the cherry blossom. Plenty of places to get a snack or a drink.
