I went on a scorching day in July and nearly melted away, but it was still worth it. The sculptures are very interesting and reminds you that the CCP still rules China, something easy to forget in ultramodern, capitalist Shanghai. It's a short walk from...More

The memorials are laid out in a very pretty setting on a monumental scale. It's very close to the metro and to the Longhua temple. There is an interesting prison on the site which can be visited. It tells an interesting history of communism.

Located near Longhua Temple. This is a large well kept park. It has many statues and memorials for chinese martyrs. Was a really peaceful walk. If you visit the temple really should visit this place. Very green and very beautiful

a good place to visit, to see the memorial structures, prison, monuments. Good if you live in Shanghai and have a lot of time for that. If you are a traveler, I would recommend to refrain from visiting it )

This park has historical and memorial legitimacy and is obviously a place held in deep reverence by the citizens of Shanghai. To me, a mere tourist it immediately prompted comparisons with "our own" places of cultural and memorial significance and on those bases this park...More
