AVOID the City/Town God Temple in Zhujiajiao! Once you’re inside you’ll be bulldozed into a dodgy fortune-telling & then asked/expected to donate to the gods for your good fortune (preferably in multiples of ¥100!), before your brain has the change to fully engage in flight-mode...More

Visited but did not go into the temple. Too many tourists, the place seem more for commercial purpose than a temple.

If you have a choice, please avoid this temple. It has nothing worth visiting, and be really careful of the tourist trap.

Went to see a temple but ended up in a tourist market, good place for buying trinkets and gifts for friends and family, pretty busy but a fun experience none the less.

This was my second visit to Chenghuang temple and it was more interesting than my first. If you enjoy haggling this is a great place to visit. Besides the restaurants and food stands, I don't think any of the merchants had fixed pricing. While there...More
