Really enjoyed this as a means to get an overview of Shanghai, if you are pressed for time this is a great way to get a broad sweep of Shanghai. Makes you realise how much there is to do and see. Highlights - Bund, Nanjing Road. Would recommend for anyone with one - two days as a means to get... More

I did it for their 2 day package and loved it. I felt like I saw everything I wanted and needed to see. The staff, basically, at every stop, is very helpful and can guide you. English, although not perfect, is spoken very well.

Take the Big Bus tour if you want to cover Shanghai. We just had three days to cover Shanghai and we gave one day to sight seeting. We could cover all three routes on the Big Bus Tour in one day and could get down and see around all important places. Must take this tour to get the flavour of... More

I uses the two day pass with the Big Bus Tours in Shanghai and found it to be a great way to see all the highlights of the city in only two days. It really isn't an off the beaten path kind of tour, but it takes you to the big ones probably as quickly as would be possible. Your... More

As someone who lives in SH I took this tour just for fun on a "nothing else to do" day. I find that this tour might be suitable or unsuitable for you depending on what kind of traveller are you. If you just want an easy way to get to major attractions and places of interest and not seeking a... More

The tour itself gives a value for money insight to see Shanghai. There are three routes and they are covered by the one ticket price. Typically, if you don't get off the bus for sightseeing, you can invest a half day, so the 24 hour ticket option is best. The disappointment was that at a few stops, the bus waited... More

We were in Shanghai only for one week and the bus tour was a great way to have a quick glance of all important places.

Great activity if you are a lone traveller or short on time Cost for the tour is RMD100. You can get tickets directly from some hotels or from the many ticket booths at most stops. Make sure you keep receipt- you need to constantly show it going off/on the buses You are given a map and earphones. The earphones did... More

There are better ways to spend an hour than to be stuck in traffic going on a route that you can cover by taxi in a quarter of the time and at much lower cost. I took the bus- cruise combination. The cruise was the saving grace. Just go for the cruise and get the ticket at the Shiliu Pu... More

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
