The Hongqiao railway station is quiet amazing. When you walk in, you`ll fell like you entered an airport. Thousands of people, all races rushing in one direction or another. And of course, there are more than enough shops and restaurants there. To summarize it - Hongqiao feels like the future. :)

I came in here on the bullet train from Beijing and the taxi queue at the South was ridiculously long. However don't bout off because it only took ten minutes as there is a constant stream of taxis coming through to pick up new fares.

Taking the High Speed Train G7525 from Shanghai Hongqiao to Hangzhou. The train ride is very smooth and punctual. Inside the train is very clean and nice. The train is usually pack and seldom do have empty seats. They do sell food and drinks inside the train. Toilets are usually clean and sometime dirty depending on the distance but usually... More

We took the bullet train from Shanghai to Hangzhou and it was great. The station is seriously HUGE. Think 3 x airplane hangers. Lots and lots of people, but still very efficient. Easy to navigate about. Just do it
