This street is amazing by night. You can find everything you may need for your life in Shanghai: from salsa lessons to good restaurants and pubs.
You will be able to find very close to each other places like good Italian restaurant, Brazilian restaurant, Mexican restaurant and pub (Zapata, an amazing place on monday for Lady's night and Tuesday for the buffet) and also one of the worse and free place where to drink and have fun of Shanghai: Phebe!
This is a colorful street that never leaves you disappointed (or yes... it could happen!). And these places I mentioned are just a bunch of the ones there are!

This road has quite a few good bars and restaurants. They also have a few street food vendors tucked away at street turnings.

Hengshan Road named after the Heng Mountain in Hunan was formerly the French Concession pre-war. This meant mansions, high-end residences most of which still dotted the street. Sadly, most of these have been converted into bars, restaurants and even bowling alley. A case in point in Xujiahui park is The former Pathé house, the HQ of the famous recording label on which most of the old shanghai divas like Bai Guang recorded immortal 33rpm LPs, was saved from the wrecking ball by public petition. Wood paneled rooms and cupboards with a few random portraits leftover from revolutions hailed from the bygone era. Yet the food concession that occupies it is totally blasé to the famous sounds and personalities that roamed these halls. We stayed at Ascot residences which is a converted serviced apartment, a good home base for exploring this famed neighbourhood. Other than eateries, cafes, we would recommend dropping into AnnAnn, a clothing store purveying Cheongsam, the famous women dress from that era and the grounds of JiaoTong University, an oasis of science & technology, founded in the dying days of the Manchu dynasty in 1896, that continued to be at the forefront of Chinese engineering

So came here to eat! There are a lot of restaurants - both local and International. Quite a few good name hotels along this road as well. A good place to come at night
