This visit to Shanghai, I have visited 1065’s tea shop again, this owner opens new shop in 1119. Here is clean and have some space to sit at ease. There seems to be various sorts of tea, especially Black tea…. We enjoyed special “Da hongpao” which is produced in Fujian province, we never tried such a elegant fragrance before… Thanks... More

There are many tea places and is hard to choose. Very nice stores selling expensive and beautiful tea pots.

While a lot of people recommended this place to me, I didn't find it too amazing. I found the place to lack any enthusiasm - whether in terms of shop keepers selling their stuff or even the visitors buying things. It seemed quite dull overall. I did however visit a shop therein which provided services in English. I tasted a... More

Unlike tea houses (where you pay for the atmosphere mostly) here you can experience the tea itself in the way it's meant to be. I visited Sara's shop on the second floor, stall 2133 and her English, as well as knowledge about tea and presentation was exceptionally good. We tried several teas from different types - blacks, pu-erh, green in... More

We also visited Susie in shop 1051, which is on the main floor as you enter the Tianshan Tea City, so is easy to find. Susie's English is very good, and her knowledge of tea is commanding. We felt she had a great variety at excellent prices...buy here instead of in the Yu Garden area! We had a wonderful experience... More

I highly recommend Susie's shop at stall 1051. I had read about her location through other reviews on here and she did not disappoint. I had some of the best teas I've ever tried, and left feeling knowledgeable and warm with Susie's hospitality. The second floor is also very good for tea pots and accessories.

I discovered this place near the end of my trip so I only had time to drop by a after work towards the end of the day. It was a bit of a trip but I'm so glad I took the time to do it. Essentially it's a building complex with many little shops inside and out. The building is... More

Great Chinese tea appreciation experience @ 1065!! I visited Tianshan Tea City yesterday wanting to i) have a good Chinese tea appreciation session; ii) purchase my stock of favourite Xihu Longjing (西湖龙井) and Tie Guanyin (铁观音); and iii) help a friend to purchase Da Hong Pao (大红袍). I am glad I scheduled this in my stay in Shanghai and did... More

Every visit to Shanghai, My family visit the tea boutique No.1065 and buy Chinese tea there. We tried green tea, black tea, oolong tea, both of them good. Price is reasonable. You can enjoy several kinds of tea there for comparing fragrance and taste. The master is a very kindly young man. He has credentials of Chinese tea and can... More

This is a good place to buy tea because there are so many shops available. That can also be daunting because, if you are like me, it is hard to know what kind of tea you like or should buy, and which grade. Each kind of tea has various points of origin and grades. I met Tien at #1065 about... More
