About
Yuyuan is a bustling marketplace set in an old Chinese neighborhood with traditional architecture and shops selling everything from dumplings to kitsch. A great place for people-watching and picking up Chinese souvenirs, and close to the nearby Yuyuan Gardens.

Always crowded. Such a happening place with shops of food and souvenirs. Yu Garden is here. City of God temple is nextdoor. There’s a fantastic tea house here. Must see for yourself!

Such a beautiful place to explore in the morning, and even fit in an authentic breakfast at a quaint little restaurant before entering the gardens! Food was yum and not over-priced! It was quite a chilly morning, so their onion pancakes sure hit the spot! Loved the experience!

We loved it here, you only need an hour or so if you just want to soak up the atmosphere but there is also great shopping and restaurants too. You can see turtles in the pond. The only part of Shanghai where we felt we were in China of old.

This is the place to go to sample Chinese street food and just wander. Candied fruit and soup dumplings, yum! It does not only cater to foreigners there were many locals out for a Sunday family adventure when I was there.

There are many shops selling the same items. This is a tourist mall and most prices won't come down so don't expect to get much if any discounts on the price. Great for finding traditional Chinese gifts for someone back home. I found jewelry, coin purses and good luck bells for about $5 each.

Well, you really nice views of old China town , nothing compared to china town in London, there are so many secret places, especially on the second floor where most of the local restaurants located, prices really cheap quality is higher than expected, dumplings with meat must see and eat :D :D :D
Oh yeah and prepare cash as in most cases they accept only those doge QR codes, old china town means you are going back to the past in at least two centuries so no credit cards no crypto coins just normal chinese yuans, and believe me it is better to get them before your journey, otherwise you will pay additional fee of (8-10usd) :/
Enjoy your amazing time in amazing Shanghai! :)

奇石缘 is the best signature stamp shop in this area 豫園商城 I think. The shop number is 358.
There is marvelous carve master who has been running a carver for about 40 years. We can choose many types of crystal or ivory, and ask him to carve our names.(Maybe he could carve english names.) He doesn’t suggest too high price unlike the other signature stamp shops in 豫園商城. Moreover the quality of these are awesome.
If you want a good souvenir which is about 10$, I definitely recommend you to buy a signature stamp at 奇石缘!!

A reminder than history and culture is important. Shrine of the Shanghai god awesome. Great to see spirituality amongst the commerce.

We visited and strolled around the garden & the Bazaar. The garden is an Oasis in the Centre of Shanghai's Old City. The garden is more than 400 years old. It is a popular attraction for photograph & enjoying ancient architecture. You will surely explore the busy Yuyuan Bazaar. You will Feel relaxed as you wander through the garden & feel exited as you move through corridors and archways of the Bazaar. We were informed to stay aware of our surroundings and keep an eye on our valuables, because this area is notorious for crooks who prey on tourists.

SEE photos.
