A bit of history here. Former State Capitol location. Land is well groomed in beautiful green grass. Perfect for wedding pictures, wedding ceremonies, starting point for charity walk/runs.

This has ruins from the old capitol building, when it was located in Tuscaloosa. It is a great spot for pictures and weddings. There is a pavilion on the site that you can rent. Beautiful location!

This is a neat little park with some historic ruins and full of history. It's set back on it's own and is rarely super busy. It is, however, a great setting to take pictures and is popular for graduation and wedding pictures. Lovely spot.

Very nice park with a gazebo, historic ruins, and yes, water fountains that work! Lots of history here, plus the Pokemon Go folks tell me that the place is awesome for Pokemon Go collectors.....

My family and I have been several times. It is excellent for pictures during spring time and you basically get to walk back in history to when the state was still developing!

It's an open park. No gates or anything. I assume that it is open as long as the sun is up. I don't think it would be much of an attraction in the dark anyway.
