We always look for a local restaurant when traveling. Mr Hendrix at the Stone wall recommended the Rattlesnake saloon. We followed our GPS for miles not knowing what to expect and thought we may be lost actually! The saloon parking and ride in the back of a pickup was cultural indeed. The view under the bluff was beautiful. We chose... More

You park up top and can ride in the back end of a truck down to the Saloon. It's nested under a bluff and near a stream. There are deer in the meadow across from the stream. You can listen to many local bands and artists sing while you eat. There are silos up top that you can rent to... More

Okay, so we are usually into fine dining but went to the Rattlesnake Saloon on the advice of a friend for a different type of fun--which we had, in spades. It is in a cave, with a live band and community seating. We sat at an eight-top table and soon met six people who were very nice and very fun.... More

We did this as recommended. It's a local interesting place. We park and then are 'taken' to the saloon. We had hard cider, beer and wine. Shared a big hamburger and had an appetizer. The duo was new and we did not stay as we had planned cause it was not upbeat nor could we dance to that. Gift shop... More

I wasn't sure what to expect so we dressed in business casual, should have donned the cowboy boots and jeans! The Friday or Saturday night musical guest is great, try to make it then. Kids can join, even in the evening and the food is inexpensive and kid friendly. Be aware that the drive from the parking lot down is... More

Large portions. Sharing would be the better way to go. Microwaving fried appetizers isn't always successful. Snake eyes and tails and fried pickles were very good. The seasoned fried were good. I really didn't like the onion rings but others may. The Duke hamburger was tasty. The sauerkraut on the polish sausage was delicious but I didn't care for the... More

We went on a Wednesday another we're closed. It is a long ride out there! I went inside and asked for permission to walk down and they said yes. Really cool location, just wish we would have come on the right day.

On a whim, a friend and I ended up day tripping to the Rattlesnake Saloon after reading about it on an Alabama website. Unique destination. We rode on the saloon taxi truck, which was fun. I suggest walking back because it really is a short walk, but all uphill. This is a beautiful photo location. As I people watched, I... More

From the arrival to leaving, you will enjoy your trip. Unique to say the least. Good food. Neat location. Be advised, if you have a fear of snakes, look at photos before you make the trip. Indoor seating as well as outdoor 'pavilion' under a bluff. With live music on the weekends. Take a chance!
