Those hot pools were so relaxing that we came twice! Our first visit was part of a package: a hike around the volcano in th afternoon and an evening at Ecothermales. We arrived here at around 6pm and it was relatively crowded. Apparently lots of guests were sharing the same kind of package. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay. The setting... More

A lovely, elegant place. 98 (37) - 105 (40.5) degrees, plus a cool pool, a not too cold pool, and spray fountains. For us, it seemed like an ideal range of temperatures, and six pools, all connected, was plenty, as long as there were few people. How few people you need around you to relax depends on you, but we... More

Came here on a Saturday evening (530pm). Made a reservation through their website, did not opt to go through a tour company or get the dinner. My husband wasn't impressed but I enjoyed it. It is relaxing and invigorating, in my opinion. I like that they limit the amount of people so it does not get too crowded. There is... More

We came to ecotermales during the 5pm-10pm period and the pools were perfect after having sore muscles from hiking the few days before. Towels and lockers are provided so donʻt worry about having to carry a bag around. Leave your slippers and towel on a lounge chair and enjoy the various pools! Cocktails can be purchased with your wristband (they... More

The place is very will kept, while in the springs you do not get burned because there are a lot of trees giving shadow. Thermal springs have different temperaturas and there is also a cold small waterfall.

The place is a very nice retreat after a day hiking! It is necessary to book in advance as the site accepts a limited number of guests per time slot. We arrived at 5 pm and enjoyed our evening going from one bath to the next. There are around 5-6 baths with different temperatures (but all very warm!!). Unfortunately, the... More

We visited this place in early evening. It was great and not a surprise that there are no bad reviews. Thermal springs are a delight and an hour or so there sorted out my very weary cycling legs. The buffet meal that followed was also excellent value. Staff and facilities excellent.

Nice, romantic and exclusive place, with limited number of people (up to 150), unlike equivalent hot springs nearby . Diverse (from hot to warmer) and clean pools. Not advised for kids, although no restriction. It’s possible to eat there, but we didn’t. Drink were ok, but quite expensive – in accordance with the standard of this kind of establishment.

Actually ended up working this tour into our short stay in the Arenal area and were very glad we did. We had done a farm visit, the hanging bridges, zip lining in our subsequent days and this was our reward with a relaxation day! We got there early in the morning and had the entire place to ourselves for about... More
