alberto and his family are welcoming, gracious hosts. my first time riding a horse and it was a great experience! we passed another group of 20-30 riders following a guide, and it made me very thankful for our small intimate party of 5. would definitely visit alberto's horses again.

We had a great time with Alberto. We started by having lunch first at his home, poked by his wife... she made fresh chicken with chips, salsa and fresh squeezed juice. We left for La Fortuna Waterfall after lunch... you ride through some fields into the forest, through a river, and then take a main road up to the waterfall.... More

Alberto provided a fabulous, relaxed and exciting adventure. He is extremely likeable and quite a character - great stories, down to earth yet with a great sense of humor. He is assigning the horses according to your level of experience and your zodiac sign. He does rides to the waterfall and back, and what a ride this is! Through open... More

My wife and I loved the whole experience. My wife had only gone horseback riding once before and had no problem. The horses were great, but Alberto really makes the ride fun. He told us about Costa Rica and some of his own personal stories living there. We got rained on the entire way back, which seemed to only make... More

This experience was amazing. We did the horseback ride to the La Fortuna Waterfall and absolutely loved it. We rode through the Costa Rican rain forest for an hour to the breath-taking waterfall, spend an hour at the waterfall, and then rode an hour back. The scenery was amazing and the guides were both fun and relaxed. If you are... More

My kids (ages 15, 13, and 11) absolutely loved this! My wife and I thought it was pretty good too!! Alberto and Lillian really put some effort in to what they do - this is not just a job for them. The horses are well fed and taken care of - we even watched while Alberto put some shoes on... More

Our family went to La Fortuna Falls by horseback. The ride there and back was beautiful with vistas one would miss any other way. Through fields and streams... We were free to ride more independently (not just nose to tail) and Alberto truly seems to enjoy guiding the ride. The (included) meal was delicious and a nice opportunity to sit... More

It was a great thrilling ride . WE could not believe how the horses could traverse the rocks in the stream but they did it well after going through several pastures. Then we went up through this narrow crevice where you thought you would lose your legs. We all survived even though we had little experience riding. Albertos dog came... More

My husband and I and our two children (ages 13/16) did not have a lot of experience riding horses, and thus were somewhat trepidatious about it, but Alberto and his well trained horses immediately put us at ease. We arrived at his stables and he quickly got us saddled up with horses he thought would suit our level of experience.... More

We are a family of 4 - 2 adults, 2 kids ages 9 and 13, we booked a 1/2 day adventure with Alberto, and it also happened to be our son's 9th birthday that day. We arrived and found Alberto getting the horses ready - and he started to get to know us - making us all feel comfortable -... More
