My wife, 13 year old son and I decided to take the horse back your just late the night before(last night), and we were not disappointed. Alberto was a gentleman, quite engaging, and his son Edson(our guide) was warm right from the start, and all the way through. From the beginning you start up the slope towards the mountain region,... Very friendly people here. Had a great tour to the falls, and they stayed with us for a few hours. Just enough time. Very good people, and it family owned. Albertos sons do all the tours. pretty cool

I communicated with Alberto via email prior to heading to CR. He let me know availability and the # of people in the groups. Right up until we arrived, we were the only 2, and then a couple from Belgium signed up, making it a nice little group along with Eric our guide. (fluent in English) I felt very comfortable... More

Alberto and his son take great care of their horses and are very friendly and accommodating. The ride to La Fortuna Waterfall goes through some farmland and roads. The horses just follow each other and don't really want to do anything else. By the time you get to the waterfall you'll be glad to get off the horse and jump... More

We immensely enjoyed our ride, the scenery was beautiful, the horses well behaved, and our guide Junior very personable. I would highly recommend this excursion.

We (my daughters, age 12 & 17 &I) did the horseback ride to the waterfall on our first day in Costa Rica and had a blast! We loved the low-key, authentic nature of this family business, and the trip itself was great--especially the swim in the stunning cold waterfall and riding the horses through the river!

The horses are happy, well cared for & well behaved. Our guides were great. There were 11 people on our ride and there was always a guide in front and in the rear. I felt safe at all times. The horses were sure-footed on the rocks, in the mud, & in the water. The waterfall was majestic... Great exercise getting... More

This tour was truly amazing and one of the highlights of our trip. Alberto was very welcoming when we arrived to his ranch. He was genuinely caring, friendly and professional. We showed up for the 8:30 tour and it was pouring rain (stopped raining almost as soon as we set out though). Non of us had rain gear, Alberto went... More

My friend was initially not willing to come for the horse ride but he was really glad he did it. The horses are the most sweetest i have seen. My horse was imperio and she was the best. the tour takes you through the meadows and through the forest across a stream ( this is the most lovelist part of... More

We took the tour in January and so glad we did! Alberto is a great guy and his son Junior (our guide) was awesome. First of all, as animal lovers we appreciated how well they take care of their horses. Junior is extremely knowledgeable about nature and the local area. We have been horseback riding before, but this was by... More
