Superb and knowledgeable guide that toured us around the eco centre for just my fiance and I. Very personal and patient and hawk like vision in finding birds, reptiles, and of course the Sloth which made my fiances whole trip. Great place for all types of travellers.

We toured Ecocentro Danaus at the recommendation of our hotel manager who said that the wildlife was "out in the wild rather than in cages" at Danaus. We paid extra for the "guided tour" and it was worth it. Our guide brought a spotting scope with us which greatly enabled our view of the wildlife. We saw various birds, leaf... More

We actually visited Ecocentro Danaus twice: once for the night frog tour and then the next day. The night tour was fantastic (even in a on and off rain). It was just me and my 8 year old son and the guide really took the time to find frogs, snakes, and even a sloth for us and was very knowledgeable.... More

We booked a night walking tour at the last minute via Anywhere Costa Rica and enjoyed it very much. Although I am not big on sneaks, it was cool to see many different colorful ones in their natural habitats. I personally enjoyed seeing tiny green/blue and red/blue leaf frogs with vivid colors, and thanks to our excellent guide, Elias, I... More

My husband and I took a fun and easy night tour around the property with a guide. Well maintained trails and especially at night you can't tell how small the area is. It's probably a great night tour for young kids/families, but we enjoyed it and saw a lot of wildlife -frogs, sleeping butterflies, spiders, a kinkaju, sloths, a cayman... More

When you arrive there's a section where they put food out for the birds and you can see so many species here. The walk was relaxing and I'd recommend that you take someone that is good at spotting what there is too see to get the most of it. My favourite was the butterflies as there were some many beautiful... More

Danaus Ecocenter is a great little nature preserve that offers fantastic guided walks at really reasonable rates. We would have missed nearly everything if it weren't for our amazing guide, Elias, and had a really fun time seeing a sloth, caimans, agoutis, a tree frog, and large birds. The tour was supposed to be about 90 minutes, but Elias spent... More

Worth the extra few dollars for a guided tour, I don't think we would have seen half the birds and animals without. Very educational

We were offer a tour with a guide but it was too early and couldn't take it. We decided to to the tour by ourselves and needless to say, we couldn't see anything; because you need a tour guide to tell you where the animals are located or where do they normally hide.
