    Paradise for a day!
We had a wonderful day in Paradise. The name says it all. Warm hot spring pools( Not crowded) great lunch. Our server Guermo was very attentive and the food was authentic Costa Rician. We also enjoyed a 60 min sheepish massage what a great day! If you are in LaFortuna skip the fancy expensive places and come for a great relaxing time here at Paradise.

Excellent Natural Hot Springs, Skip the Meal
Went to Paradise after a day of white water rafting. Perfect end to the day to just relax and warm our muscles. Went with my family (parents + 2 kids ages 12 and 9). They had pools of various warm to hot temperatures. There was a swim up bar, and kids had a great time. We chose the day pass with meal and likely didn’t need the meal. It was a buffet style - decent food, good variety but not excellent. If you’re looking for a more rustic and natural feeling hot springs, this is the place. It doesn’t have that posh feel, which is exactly what we were looking for.

Skip the line Paradise Hope Springs day ticket
We had a great day relaxing at the hot springs. We had been warned it gets really busy and maybe we were just lucky but it was perfectly fine! We got there just before opening time at 11am and stayed till about 2pm. The pools were lovely and clean apart from a few leaves that fall during the day. All areas were spotlessly clean but special mention must go to the bar area at the back with the most fabulous views of the countryside with an uninterrupted view of the volcano - superb.

Date night at the hot springs
We had a room for the night and liked the space and the safety of it all. Large rooms and helpful staff. At night the hot springs were perfect for soaking and star gazing after a long day of exploring.

Beautiful hot springs, buffet less than great
My wife and I spent an evening at Paradise Hot Springs on a day pass. It was absolutely relaxing, beautiful, and refreshing. The only thing we suggest is that you do NOT get the buffet dinner. It was underseasoned and overcooked and definitely the worst meal we had in Costa Rica. The swim up bar has a bunch of “snack” options that could definitely be whole meals - highly recommend doing that instead (it’s also cheaper!).

Great hotel but could offer better food
Excellent experience at the hotel. Great view of the volcano, lots of hot springs to use and good staff. BUT the food is not that good. We had dinner the first night and we had to return a couple of the plates because they were not good. And the server of that night was not good either. Yet the rest of the staff were real good and the room was super clean and modern. I would definitely come back.

The staff were super helpful and the grounds were lovely with TONS of greenery. The room was huge, the bathroom massive and everything was very clean and comfortable. I was there in the slow season and at times I was the only person in the huge pool and there are tons of nooks with loungers hidden amongst the greenery and you can go from pool to pool to hot top easily. I thought the pools were in good repair, there is some construction but I never noticed it and it's hidden by a wall of greenery. It should not disrupt anyone's stay.

Because it was slow, there were not many buffet breakfasts, but they gave you a choice of four options and the portions were huge. I had a HUGE plate of various fruits every morning, and a full American style breakfast. Even when I had lunch or dinner I thought the food was delicious, nicely presented and I thought extremely reasonably priced for a large hotel. You could also just walk 20 feet from my room and see an amazing view of the volcano.

My only complaint was while there is a spa, I couldn't seem to figure out how you got to the area with the massages, it appeared to be closed so maybe because there were so few people there it wasn't even open, but to be honest I didn't ask. I know if busy times it may end up with more day users of the spa but to me it was worth it to be able to go back and forth and use the pools when I wanted rather than pay a lot of money to spend the day somewhere.

Day pass (no food). Went at 11 as a solo female and had the place to myself for half an hour. Was pouring with rain but made it super atmospheric.

Two large pools with good temperatures, two smaller colder ones and several smaller hotter pools. Little waterfalls to massage and loungers in the large pools.

Plenty of chairs / loungers and umbrellas to hide from the rain under. Swim up bar is $3 for beers and $8-12 for cocktails. They also do bar food for $7+ so if you’re not into buffets it is cheaper to get a day pass without a meal and order bar snacks.

Lovely grounds, super clean pools and not designed for kids (no slides like other places), so peaceful. Fab few hours and would recommend! Get there early before the tours arrive from around 330pm for some peace and quiet!

Absolute bargain compared to the cost of some other places.

Very manageable. Not glitzy like neighboring Baldi, more reasonable than Tabacon. Pools were nicely labeled. Not spread over a big area. Nice private areas with chairs to relax in between pools. Pleasantly lit at night. Soothing music. The dinner included with our day pass was not what was shown on the restaurant dinner menu. Choice of protein and two sides, soup, drink and very small piece of tres leches cake. Tasty, but not impressive.

We spent two nights at Paradise Hot springs for Christmas. The hotel is lovely and staff absolutely fabulous. However, we were offered a 'special meal' for Christmas, and not told what this included , but thought we would go with it for Christmas day as a treat. The food was appalling, basic salad, fish and pork and absolutely nothing special for $45 per person. We went to the other standard restaurant to look at the difference in the resort and the buffet there was serving similar food for half the price or eat from the al a carte menu. We checked with the reception and they said we could swap, so we did and had something from the al a carte menu in the main restaurant which was beautiful food. When we went to check out the manager Estaban refused to drop the charge for the 'special meal' despite awful food and basically overcharging for something slightly different from the main restaurant for $19. This was all incredibly disappointing after spending a huge amount of money during our stay as it is our honeymoon, that the manager refused to acknowledge this and put customer service first. If you stay here don't accept any 'special events' they are a scam and management are unwilling to recognise or take any responsibility.

First, we were a bot sceptical which hot springs spa to choose, then we chose the Paradise Hot Springs because we could reach the place within walking distance, and also because the entrance fee was acceptable for us.
Then, during our day-long stay everything turned out to be quite pleasant: it was not too crowded; there were several nicely located pools, we could perfectly relax and enjoy the whole day. Towards the evening we also received a dinner (which was not the maximum) but all together we turned back to the hotel quite satisfied.

We did the hot springs and dinner combo for $45USD and it was a great value. We spent about 1.5 hours moving between the various pools until we felt like jelly! Then it was off to the buffet for dinner. This is a friendly, clean, well run destination, that's not overrun by the tourist buses. Highly recommended.

The changing rooms were tiny and overcrowded, literally one small bench with some hooks. People getting changed in the toilets of which there were only a small number of cubicles. Lockers tiny, really struggled to get my wet walking gear and small backpack in there. The bar pool was overcrowded and quite filthy. All the other pools were reasonably clean, a lot quieter and great temperatures. We had an evening hot springs with dinner pass, the food was very basic and we weren't made to feel welcome in the restaurant as the receptionist hadn't given us wrist bands. We ordered margaritas and they tasted pretty terrible and were served in plastic glasses, even though we had changed into dry clothes and away from the pools. Overall, we had a sort of relaxing time, although the stress of the busy changing rooms, no space and crowds really put us off recommending this place to friends.

Two of us decided to try this place based upon their road signs and website. We stopped for a brief tour, and booked a room for August 25th. It was a bit upscale but the price was very reasonable for the quality of... EVERYTHING.
The bed had a 4" pillow top to drown in, we loved all the natural stone and wood, and the plantings were dense and lovely. There were a number of different pools with greatly varying sizes and temperatures. Plenty of places to sit outside, in front of the room or by the pools. There were both very hot and cool whirlpools with strong jets. Speaking of strong, I chose a deep tissue massage with Lauren, and she was very well-trained. Best massage I've had in this country so far (I've lived here 10 years).
We enjoyed a terrific evening meal of tuna ceviche, chicken brochette with maracuja glaze, salad and a brownie dessert that was so good I was tempted to lick the plate.
Let's not forget the staff!. Every single person - and I like to test them - was very responsive to unusual requests, and that's not so common here except in very expensive locations. I'd give this place a very high rating in all areas, and we will return!

We stayed 3 nights in a junior suite which was very comfortable and spacious with veranda for sitting outside, with view of the volcano.

On arrival staff were excellent as they were throughout our stay in all areas of the hotel.

Hot springs very clean and good as was swim up bar.Limited sun beds but it wasn’t an issue for us.

We only had breakfast which was a buffet which was very good. Evening wise a buffet was available but we did not fancy it, limited springs to mind.

Swim up bar closed at 9 pm, great if you want to use the hot pools until that time.

What was very disappointing was the fact that a bar, which serves good hot finger type food eg burger and wraps etc, overlooking the volcano closed dead on 6.30 pm as it got dark. This meant there was nowhere to relax over a night drink and food outside of our room. Strongly recommend that the management address this fact

Location is out of La Fortuna where to be fair there are bars and restaurants that cater for all

However getting a taxi into la fortuna between 6.30 and 7.30 was not easy and most asked for 10 dollars. We said no and went on meter average 5000 local currency.

We enjoyed our stay and it met our needs apart from customer service food and beverage after 6 pm
