We went to Tabacon as part of a tour of Arenal with Guanacaste Viajes. Apparently, Arenal volcano is only easily seen 14-15 days a year as it is mostly covered by clouds, so unfortunately, we did not get to see what we really came for,...More

The Tabacon facility is gorgeous, no doubt about that. If you dont want to do a full day, you can get a half day pass and either go in the morning or the evening. If you are looking for a romantic evening I suggest going...More

The thermal springs are amazing. Most are semi-private and extremely comfortable. The springs are surrounded by the jungle and are very captivating. There is nothing more tranquil than relaxing in the hot springs as the mist rises from the waters. Don't forget to check out...More

There were free hot springs at my hotel, but I chose to check out Tabacon too. So glad I did. It is an enormous setup, with many various little waterfalls and swimming holes to check out for variety and privacy. The water is perfectly hot....More

Relaxing, refreshing and somewhat exclusive. The rooms are spacious, the breakfast buffet is fabulous (the best pineapple I have ever tasted), the staff is friendy and a short twalk down to the springs to spend the day in the outdoors.... you just forget all your...More

As the title says. Was very beautiful, but I wouldn't stay there again. There are just so many less expensive options. I experienced the high dollar hot spring, don't need to repeat. I don't need the high luxury, so I don't plan to return. But,...More

Hot springs were very nice but a little dangerous. they do not tell you about the rough bottom full of rocks so you can really hurt yourself. The water was nice and clean. The food was strictly average.

Spent an afternoon around the hot springs. Smartly skipped the buffet, and had some drinks at the pool. Once you get to the different pools along the river you feel you arrived to heaven. The temperature increases as you go up the stream.

Prior to coming to Tabacon, I had expected a very artificial experience. Maybe I was there during low season, but the springs were not crowded at all. I did this as part of a tour, and therefore it came with the restaurant buffet, which was...More
