Visiting La Fortuna this is without doubt a must do. It's has something like 15 pools at different temperatures and you can literally spend all day here it's so relaxing. We got a voucher at a local restaurant which gave it to us at a...More

You really should try to spend all day there to really enjoy all the different springs. We spent several hours to include dinner and had a blast.

We visited as part of a package with a buffet dinner. The dinner was not good a very poor buffet with much of the options already finished. The springs are beautiful but if you're looking for natural and manufactured this is not the place for...More

I love this place. The termales (hot springs) are heated by Volcan Arenal, which is pretty awesome. There was smoke coming out of that thing and everything, it looked like the time that volcano erupted on Gilligan's Island. There is plenty of parking ("free" with...More

These are pools/hot tubs. Not the natural atmosphere we wanted. Tabacon was way better than Baldi, though still not natural. We heard Ecothermales was best for natural hot springs, or go to the free hot springs (check Google Maps). Baldi was an overpriced tourist trap.

We took advantage of a $30 day pass as we stayed elsewhere in La Fortuna. This place is massive - so many pools to choose from that you can definitely find solace. There are a lot of people around so you will be reminded you...More

Our group went down all the slides and they were very safe, and lots of fun. Just use your general judgement - don't do anything you would not do on a slide back home!

I don't think so as we couldn't smell any chlorine, and our skin felt wonderful for days after we visited the springs. One of our favourite parts of the trip!
