My husband and I did the Pacuare One day rafting trip with Exploradores Outdoors and really enjoyed the experience! The bus was about 15 minutes late to pick us up in La Fortuna in the morning, but really not a big deal. It was about...More

I did the rafting there countless times, its amazing! The river can be brown from rain or light clear blue. The forest around, the waterfalls, the rocks, everything is magical. Off course a good set of guides make the difference, I went with the best!...More

We booked the two day tour with Rios Tropicales, and from pick-up at our airport hotel through an exceptional two days of beauty and adventure they impressed me with their professionallism and care. As a first-time rafter at age 67, I was nervous about the...More

Exciting and adventurous 3-day, 2-night rafting trip down the Pacuare River. First day Class 1&2. Second day nature hike and stayed in individual bungalows with privacy and security. Great service and food. Third day with rain in the mountains, high water and Class 3-4 rapids....More

What a blast. Best rafting trip we've ever been on. Almost non-stop rapids with some stunning canyon scenery. It could have been a bit scary, but on the shuttle to the put-in, Christopher gave the best pre-river safety talk ever, and Angell, who guided our...More

A truly spectacular and pristine river with waterfalls, jungle and local indigenous people. Good for seeing butterflies and birdlife.

Wow what a great adventure! We had our own private guide for our week long trip so we were fortunate enough for it to be just our family, David (Roots tours from tortuguero) and Expladores Outdoors lead man Roberto! What a delightful experience! The rapids...More
