We took the Buttercup Tour and learned so many amazing facts about sloths. There are a number of rescues that can't survive in the wild that you can watch during the educational part of the tour. The canoe ride into the forest is beautiful, and you may see a sloth or two in their natural habitat. The Sloth Sanctuary is... More

We were trekking not far from the sanctuary and decided to visit as my girlfriend loves sloths, it was an amazing experience the staff are friendly and informative, you see rescued sloths and babies. Most of the sloths are kept away from human contact so they can be released back to the wild a must trip if you are an... More

Yesterday we visited the sloth sanctuary. Myself, husband and 2 kids. It was a planned visit as like many, we saw the TV programme back in the UK and have to admit ever since seeing it have wanted to visit the sanctuary as well as our love of these creatures! On arrival we paid our money approx $150 for 4... More

Great stop for sloth lovers. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Many sloths to meet, all with their distinct and lovable personalities. The babies in the nursery are beyond adorable. You also get to see lots of monkeys on the boat ride at the end of the tour.

I visited the sloth sanctuary a couple of days ago, and was the only person on my tour. Firstly, I took the 50 minute boat ride, where we saw a baby crocodile but not much else, no monkeys or sloths. Obviously nobody's fault, but I did feel it was a little drawn out for what it was - could be... More

If you love Sloths, or animals in General, this is a must for any traveler. The accommodation is very comfortable and quiet, you are served a light , healthy breakfast. By staying at the sanctuary, you are given a behind the scenes tour, that allowed us to get up close to baby and adolescent sloths (no touching). The staff are... More

Our first encounter with slots. Beautiful animals. First we went for a small boatride into a jungle where you can see the fauna. Very quiet place and all you hear is the paddeling of the captain. After that we got an introduction about sloths and the sloths who are staying in the sanctuary. The guide is really enthousiastic and knows... More

Our experience was slightly different because we spent 2 nights at the sanctuary's Buttercup Inn and did the four hour Insider's Tour. Our room was extremely comfortable and clean, with a very efficient A/C. The breakfast each day was delicious and served by a very friendly local chef, who had coffee ready the instant you walked outside! The boat ride... More

The price of the entrance to one of the best zoos in the world for just 20 minutes of explanations (from a very nice guy) in front of a few cages with sloths then a totally unnecessary boat trip that has nothing to do with the sloths. Then I asked the staff whether the visit was over or if I... More

We loved everything about our visit-from the canoe ride to the tour of the sanctuary. The work being done by the sanctuary is wonderful. The passion and love they have for the sloths is very evident. The tales of the sloths that are permanent residents tugged at my heartstrings so hard. My husband and I were fortunate enough to visit... More
