We went to a 2 hr tour of the Rescue Center. Our guide was awesome! It was very casual, informative, and entertaining. I normally don't like going to zoos for several reasons, but this was much different. You really got the sense that the people working there were doing good work and helping these animals return to the wild. It... More

I highly recommend this place. The private tour is well worth the extra expense. We got to see baby monkeys and sloths up close

To keep it short: the main downside was the size of the group, nine people were just too much! On the small paths around the jungle, the last half of the group couldn't get anything the guide said and showed. It was not the guides fault, the group was just too big! Despite that we saw some cool animals, especially... More

Excellent experience! Our guide Patricio was very knowledgeable and we just love the philosophy of this place. The highlight was the baby monkeys and sloths.

This place is really worth a visit. You can pay the $20 on the door and then you are put in a small group so you can hear everything and learn about the animals and their stories. Highly recommended.

This place is a must for anyone staying in the Puerto Viejo area. Great value for money, an the opportunity to get up close to some of Costa Rica's wildlife. Just seeing the young Sloths is worth the entrance fee in itself. Keep up the amazing work.

Awesome place. Loved the visit. Kids loved it too. No Jaguars but we all agreed that was not a concern. Would strongly recommend over similar places.

My family and I recently visited the Jaguar Rescue Center near Puerto Viejo and loved every second of it. Not only are they doing extremely worthy work (nursing, rehabilitating and then releasing back into the wild several species of local animals) but where else are you going to be two feet away from a wide variety of baby animals (sloths... Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and had awesome stories about the animals. You had sloth hanging just above your head and so many different animals to see. All the money from the entry fee goes towards the centre and also to help recover exposed power lines to prevent animal getting hurt or loosing their life. It's a really cool... More
