This wonderful organization helps injured, orphaned and confiscated wild animals rehabilitate with a primary goal of re-release into the wild - it is small, but organized and full of excellent volunteers who act as care givers, docents and safe-keepers of the animals. My donation of powdered goats milk (contains the most nutrition) was greatly appreciated since it is difficult to... More

Really loved our time here and there was so much to see, this included: Sloths, Crocodiles, Owls, Deer, exotic insects and lizards. The attraction was more expensive than a lot of other attractions in the area (for my budget at least) but with that said, you can see that all of your money is going to an incredibly worthy cause.... I, a grandmother, my daughter, and 3 grandchildren, did the personal guide afternoon tour and the night tour. These tours were a highlight of our Costa Rican vacation! The private tour was amazing. We were able to get up close to the animals and ask a million questions because we had our guide all to ourselves. She was remarkable in... More

We took a personal tour of the Jaguar rescue Center and also went on the night tour at the release site (Ceiba). I highly recommend both. Our tour guide at JRC was Rachel. She was passionate, knowledgeable and very friendly. We were amazed at the variety of the animals at the facility and impressed by the great care provided to... More

Highly recommend visiting this place. We have traveled for two weeks around the country and found most tours overpriced. The $20 for the tour was well priced and totally worth it. Great for kids and adults, meaningful work! Go check them out all $$ goes to working with the animals.

I visited the public tour of the Center and of the La Ceiba release site - both were great and very educational. It was wonderful to see the animals and hear of the great work the foundation is doing. I learned things about animal behavior I didn't know.

This must be one of the must-see sights in Costa Rica. Our guide was most knowledgeable and informative and we got a very good close look at baby sloths, howler monkeys and capuccins. There are other animals and birds there as well. The foundation's main aim is to return animals to the wild so you can not guarantee what you... More

We rode our bikes to the Rescue for the tour. Broke up to small 10-12 person groups. Great tour with lots of info. All guides were volunteers. Nice to see animals that we did not see on our own hike. It would have been nice to have the stuff we learned there before our own hikes. They do good work... More

Volunteers takes you on the tour, so they are well informed about all the animals and can tell you interesting stories about how the "inhabitants" got there. Well worth a visit 😄
