My wife and I did the tour today, and if you're an animal lover, this is a must. These people do incredible things for the animals. They take in an average of 1-2 animals per day. They have 40 volunteers EVERY day that work there....More

A Knowledgeable and entertaining guide showed us around the centre in small groups of 15. We got to see sloths of all shapes and sizes, baby monkeys, a beautiful toucan and much more. We also learnt a lot about the animals and their rehabilitation. 100%...More

Simply excellent. The guides are great; the facility is great; and the animals are great. We’d go back in a heartbeat

Please check their website for donation requests. Costa Rica does not have some supplies that are cheap to get in Canada and the USA. We brought powdered goats' milk that is needed for feeding the baby monkeys and sloths.

Absolutely amazing tour, our guide (Dutch guy) was very knowledgeable and passionate about animals in the rescue center and my kids (7 & 10) are still telling his animal stories and fun facts to everyone a week after. Money well spent.

We had the pleasure of booking a private tour a few months back and finally got to experience it this week. This center is fantastic. The tour guide (from Barcelona) was very knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to answer questions. We also got to meet the...More

90 educational minutes with knowledgeable volunteer guides. The sloths are beyond amazing so make sure your camera battery is fully charged. Cafeteria offers good, reasonably priced food. All money goes to the rescue centre so tip well.

I have been to and volunteered at several volunteer centers around Costa Rica and this is one if my favorites. Our guide was a Naturalist with a lot of knowledge and a sense of humor. They don't have a Jaguar but we already knew to...More

We only took the public tour. They make an effort to keep groups to 10 people, and try to accommodate various languages. I don’t know how much more in-depth a private tour would be. We thought the public one, at $20/person... More
