My boyfriend and I decided to do this based on a recommendation from a friend. Bruce was in the states, but the people he works with (Dan, Juliette, and Tamie) were so incredibly wonderful. We decided to both the kayaking trip as well as the horseback riding - both experiences were absolutely worth it. There had been a lot of storms before we came so there was some interesting navigating on the horses, but it made for a fun adventure. The kayaking was my favorite, particularly going down the calm river off of Playa Uva. The team at Playa Chiquita were so wonderful to chat with and get to know. We spent pretty much the whole day with them and it was easily our favorite day on our Costa Rica trip. This is absolutely worth what you will spend!

My boyfriend and I booked a sunset ride with Bruce. I am an extremely experienced rider (and wanted more than a tail-to-nose trail ride), and my boyfriend is a relatively inexperienced rider. We had an incredible time because Bruce was able to accommodate both of us. Over the course of the ride, we journeyed through jungle and across several beaches. Riding across some of the world's most beautiful beaches at sunset, with jungle extending all the way to the beach line, was simply breathtaking.
As someone who is experienced with horses, I must say that the interaction between Bruce and his animals speaks volumes. His animals simply adore him. Additionally, they are extremely well trained and yet they have a lively spark in their eyes... which is often (sadly) missing from horses used for trail riding.

We rode horses on the beach with bruce on our honeymoon. Itwas such an amazing experience. My husband and i (omg i have a husband!!) were like omg are we actually doing this?? He took us on gorgeous beaches, through the jungle, pointed out sloths and monkeys. He is a very skilled horse trainer and made it easy for us(very inexperienced) horse riders. His dogs came along which ade everything even more cool. Could not recommend this more.

I highly recommend riding with Bruce and his beautiful horses, you will have a blast! I had such a great time on our ride and will definitely be back when I return to CR.
Bruce is a lot of fun to ride with. He tells you all about the area, the flora and fauna, and any other bit of information he thinks would be interesting - which it always is! He found a pipa (or was it coconut?) and busted out his machete to prepare it so we could drink the juice and eat the meat. Very fun to watch! Chop-chop! I couldn't believe how good it was, too. It was a nice touch for sure!
The beach you ride on is pure paradise. I had a grin plastered on my face the whole time. Everything was perfect, especially having the dogs along for the ride, too! You feel like you're part of your very own paradise posse.
Bruce is truly a friendly, laid-back, funny, and positive guy. He is very passionate about what he does and loves to share the beauty of Playa Chiquita with others. This is exactly the kind of person you want as your guide. Trust me on this, you'll have a blast.

My wife and I, our grown son and his 4 1/2 year old daughter arranged to go horseback along the beach and through the jungle with Bruce Walker. We decided our grand daughter would not have her own horse but would ride double with one of us. After we got started, it seemed that White Socks (the horse that our son and grand daughter were riding) did not like having two riders. So Bruce took our grand daughter onto his horse with him, where she rode for most of the almost 3hour ride (for about the last45 minutes she transferred to her grand mother's horse). The ride was both tranquil and very enjoyable. The scenery is beautiful and the horses were gentle and prettyc easy for novices like us to handle. We were afraid that we weren't going to spot any wildlife on this but as we got about halfway back, Bruce spotted a sloth hanging from a tree, then a lone monkey way up high and finally an entire troupe of Howler monkeys quite visible and not ver far from. Another enjoyable aspect of the trip were Bruce's two dogs who frolicked and romped along side, with some friends, they picked along the way. Bruce was a truly accommodating guide with lots of local knowledge and a most pleasant and enjoyable personality. Al in all a fine afternoon--and now for a hot tub to soak our sore muscles.

Annie is a wonderful guide who understands her horses and her riders. We enjoyed a terrific adventure in a most beautiful place along Chiquita beach. We recommend her without pause!

We made a beach trip with Bruce and his partner. Both great people, with fantastic stories. For us it was a priceless experience. Best way to see and feel the country. Great horses with spirit. Also for not experienced riders.

My new bride & I honeymooned in the area with our daughters aged 4 & 6!! We spent 2,5 Hours with Bruce and it was a fantastic experience!!! I was the only experienced rider but after 5 minutes all of us felt comfortable! Our youngest rode with Bruce and the older one with me! We expect to go again when we are in the area!! A must do if you ever thought of horseback riding! Bruce is very experienced and very eco & child friendly!!! We all loved it!!!

Had a wonderful ride with Bruce down Playa Chiquita, Punta Uva, and Playa Grande! He was able to point out some wildlife, tell us everything there is to know about the plants along the ride, and even cracked open a coconut for us to enjoy during a break at Playa Grande! He doesn't wear a watch on the ride, and he'll take as many (great) photo's as you'd like along the way! Had a great morning. Thanks Bruce!!

We could ride beautiful horses from Playa chiquita riding adventures on the beach during our wedding and it was amazing!
