Pura Vida Gardens and Waterfalls is unique in Costa Rica. It is truly a "Visual Masterpiece". The gardens begin with the natural beauty of Costa Rica and four waterfalls in the property with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. To this millions of plants, flowers and orchids from all over the world have been added. Manicured walkways meander long a river and at the crest of the mountain which make the entire 50 acre gardens accessible to all. Have lunch in our restaurant and browse the gift shop that offers authentic Costa Rica gifts.

We visited Pura Vida while on a cruise. This is a well manicured Park, in such a beautiful country. It is a 40min drive from from the cruise port. It is moderate for activity, although persons with heart problems would have problems.

Quite the climb to get there but we were rewarded with stunning views, a beautiful tropical garden, 2 toucan sightings, a delicious lunch and a convivial host.

After ascending a steep jungle-covered mountain you arrive at the summit -- a lush garden with jaw-dropping views down into the valley far below. Great variety of plants and flowers, toucans in the trees. Walking paths are smooth, but steep, yet the effort is worth...More

Stunning scenery, great food and an amazing host. Very helpful and hospitable. Beautiful gardens and a stunning waterfall (albeit better during rainy season as our guide told us). Definitely worth a visit. You’ll see many tucans and scarlet macaws.

A private but large garden up in the mountains, reached by a narrow and steep road, this is a haven of flora and fauna, with a good variety of fascinating plants and (if you're lucky) some great birds - in a couple of hours we...More

You don't really get to see the falls. It is a challenging walk through gardens. There are steep areas and if it is wet, which it may be as it is a rain forest, it will be stressful for your group.
