We travelled with 2 other couples from Si Como No up the mountains to this beautiful well tended 'plantation'. Our host and hostess were extremely knowledgeable and the tour ended with cinnamon tea, chocolate treats and a spectacular view. We ended up purchasing almost all...More

A boutique spice farm. Very interesting tour of the grounds with refreshments served along the way. A small factory and a gift shop at the end make for a delightful couple of hours.

This 3.5 door-to-door tour is ok. They explain how chocolate is made, though it's not their speciality. They only have a handful of cacao trees at their facility as they really specialize in vanilla and other spices. We saw a few of the spice trees...More

I was glad I took the tour at Villa Vanilla. It's not super cheap, but I got to see some really interesting stuff (the plants growing, spices drying, etc.) and the tasting at the viewpoint was quite enjoyable. The spices at the shop seemed pretty...More

We went with four kids and two adults (kids ages 8,10,12, and 13). Learned a lot about vanilla beans and the process of harvesting/fermenting. Also enjoyed all the beautiful grounds to tour plus the live demonstration of cinnamon harvesting. Everyone enjoyed eating the delicious desserts...More

Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and the farm itself was fascinating. It was a mellow, small group that started at the main farm building and learned about growing and harvesting vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa, allspice, etc. Then we strolled around the grounds and saw all the...More

We stop here every time we're in the area to stock up on vanilla, cinnamon, cocoa, and spices. Fantastic farm. A little hard to access, but absolutely worth the trip!!!

We toured this farm as part of our recent trip to Costa Rica. The tour included a demonstration of how different spices are prepared for use. The grounds are breathtaking and there was a small tasting at the end where we sampled several products including...More

We loved this tour. Lasted about 4 hours including transfers of around 1 and half hours. Easy walking though some of the tracks would be unsuitable for wheelchairs. Our guide was good and knew his stuff, although I looked up what he said about the...More

The tour was mostly flat, with a very gentle rise in place. The pace was also relaxed. I am certain if they know in advance they will try their best to accommodate you. They are lovely people.
