This was by far our best experience we had in Costa Rica. The river is beautiful. The instructors are fun and informative. Be prepared to work muscles that you perhaps forgot you had. My wife and I (+60) were sore for 4 days but it was worth it. It is unfortunate that the return van ride to our hotel took... More

Fantastic day trip with Explorades on our last day in Costa Rica. We needed to travel from Puerto Viejo to San Jose, and rafting rather than road trip was recommended. So glad we opted for this, just brilliant! Great organisation, pick-up, breakfast and safety briefing. Our guide Jefferson was excellent and loads of fun; made rafting the class 3 &... More

Anyone considering the Pacuare River, Level 3-4, you need to lookup Exploradores. This company puts safety ahead of profits. Please look up my TripAdvisor review on Exploradores.

What a great experience with Exploredores river rafting tours. Andreas was our most outstanding guide. I must say the Pacuare River is truly one of the most beautiful rivers in the world. I only wish we'd seen a sloth or two. I highly recommend this trip!

I didn't know what to expect and was pretty nervous but it was extremely safe and enjoyable. Santiago was our guide and he was outstanding! He was extremely knowledgeable, read the currents well, and ensured that our strokes were calculated and efficient. The views were beautiful! We took a bus their and Rigo was our guide, he was very educational... More

There are many rafting companies in Costa Rica. We lucked out and selected Green Frog after searching TA and Google. The Pacuare River is the best in Costa Rica, even in March, the dry season. We were disappointed with a short trip on the Tenorio River. Just not enough water...got stuck several times. We did the 2-day trip as we... More

Did this is March. Suppose to be the dry season but we spent about 3 1/2 hours in the river. Great guide. Class 3-4. Included breskfast and lunch so it was a good value. Would take a go pro camera and you must do this.

Our Pacuare River Rafting experience was spectacular with amazing bilingual guides, views and water. We did the one day tour. This was our second white water rafting experience for us and is beginner friendly but still provides excitement and challenge for the intermediate rafter. Our tour included breakfast and lunch and round trip transportation from our hotel. After a yummy... More

Within five minutes we were going over the first grade 3 rapid. There were four grade 4 rapids to come. In between there were birds to see and the vast jungle with all that beautiful scenery. The guide was great and he made you feel secure with his knowledge of the river and White Water Rafting. There was one rapid... More

We did the 2-day trip with Exploradores Adventuras and it was truly the highlight of our three week Costa Rica adventure. I've been running whitewater rivers in the U.S. for 40 years and I can say that the beauty of this lush tropical canyon and the quality and quantity of rapids is as good as any I've seen. Exploradores is... More
