The National Museum of Costa Rica is a great place to visit and the visits started with a really interesting butterfly garden. The museum was superbly laid out and fascinating with so much to see.

Not the biggest museum visitor but the exhibition is very interesting and gives you a very good overview of Costa Rica's history and heritage. Loved the butterfly garden right by the entrance.

I think it's about USD$9... if you pay with USD and need change back, they give the change back in local currency...You can also pay in local currency but the entrance fee is higher for foreigners than locals...
