A small lovely park, right down town San Jose with a lot of tourists and local visitors. A huge variety of small shops within walking distance to buy souvenirs, food, fresh produce or anything else.

Certainly more 'square' than 'park' if you walk from the Teatro to the Mercado you'll go right past the Central Park. Some statues and monuments, garden areas, birds and local people - nice to see; but not worth going out of your way for.

San José doesn´t have a great downtown. There isn´t anything particularly attractive about this park. Not much to do or see. Not a place I would recommend putting on your travel itinerary.

It's just a dirty little central quad area in the middle of a lot of pedestrian area. Doesn't make you want to hang out. If you are here, try some street food from the local carniceria like empanadas or chicarron. Inexpensive and filling,

After the hustle and bustle of downtown San Jose, it was good to relax and try to forget the noise and trafiic.

Nice park but, there was nothing there as far as activities. This is a great place to people watch or maybe have the kids run around a little. Not sure it is worth the drive.

If you can get a shot of it from your bus, that is all you need. The park is always full of people, some of whom are a little suspicious.

In the middle of everything, lots of noise and nice if you like meeting people, locals and from other places.

This park is centrally located, next to the central market and when night falls comes alive with Avian roosting for the night. Statues around the park are nice and interesting.

This pocket park is named Parque de Central (Central Park) only because it is located in the center of San José, near the intersection of Central Avenue and First Street. Several TripAdvisor-designated attractions are within a few blocks of this…um, ‘central’ location. A concrete domed roof is supported by four “legs” and sits atop a platform. There are a few...
