In spite of being a space of green areas in the city, in the time that I visited it looked very abandoned. The dry grass, many sculptures or monuments were broken, there was bad smell in almost all areas. Despite this, many people go there to exercise or spend time with the family. What I liked the most was the... More

We were staying on the other side of the park and thought we'd walk through it on the way to the downtown area. It was obvious that many locals use the park. There were yoga classes, school classes, many walkers and joggers. We weren't bothered by anyone. A nice relaxing trail winds through the park. Very nice!

I live nearby and the park offers me a lot of great activities. You can go for a run there, to take walk or have fun during the weekends with a lot of different activities.

The park is a popular place for people to relax, exercise, and picnic. Near the National Stadium plenty of restaurants nearby.

A wonderful resource in the City centre. Always full of activities, many which you are made welcome to take part in. Particularly at weekends the park is buzzing with activity as local families make their way here to enjoy the park.

This is a large park in an even larger city, but with police patrolling we felt safe the whole time. A lot of the park was brown, probably due to it being toward the end of dry season, but it was still attractive. I was just a little surprised by all the very intimate couples. I am no prude, but... The park is on the site of the former San Jose airport which explains its long rectangular shape. Efforts have been made to make the park interesting such as an artificial lake, but somehow it doesn't quite come off. Perhaps it's because March is in the dry season, but the grass was brownish as was the water in the lake.... More

We went to the park . It's not so big but plenty of people looking at the garden and the statue of some heroes which I forget the story. There was a group of tourist accompanied by a tour guide dress in Costa Rican costumes , which is nice to see. Some locals are just wondering around. Nice to see... More

A pretty and well maintained city park. Lakes, walking paths, baseball diamond, track. Replanting to native species. Well used.
