We are beach goers...love to explore in the morning then find a great beach to relax on for the afternoon. We made stops at several beaches on the island and this was our favorite. Beautiful black sand, very few rocks, occasional waves but nothing crazy....More

Walking slowly when a teenager yell "titoi", starring at us. Is that the famous lovely, warming, polynesian kindness and "aroha/aloha" spirit ???

did this as part of a tour of the island interesting seeing the boats and the beach little group of stalls for purchases a few monuments and memorials around the place beach was very crowded as a sunday good view across to Moorea.

This place has lots to see, including the only Lighthouse on the island, historical sites, and beautiful views including a nice beach. Worth the stop! There is also a snack bar and heaps of parking.
