A fantastic night from start to finish. We were picked up at our resort at 5:45. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a drink. We then went on a very informative walk of the grounds with great views. Then had a wonderful buffet meal and finally finished the vening with a musical tribute to the becoming of the island. Finally shuttled back to our resort. A great value at $100.

There are more than one cultural dinner tours and we accidentally ended up booking this one compared to the one we researched. One of those wrong turns in travelling when you find something excellent. They confirmed booking in the morning, picked us up in a bus and delivered us to the door. Which was up the top of the mountain in the island with great views of the sea and surrounds. The coach driver started giving us tour information from the moment we sat on the bus. Checked in on arrival and complimentary cocktail provided both alcoholic and non alcoholic prior to seating. Cultural tour then moved outside and the Leader showed us the grounds including commentary on cultural relevance. Back inside to eat and an excellent Buffett of local foods. Something there for every taste and we ate till we were full. Bar at resort prices. Then came the display of dancing and explanation of local culture integrated into the performance. Left there having learned a lot. The bus dropped us back to our accomodation. Best night in Cook islands.

We loved this show - it was absolutely the best thing we did in Rarotonga - and we highly recommend it. What we enjoyed the most was the high energy of the performers and the way they interacted with each other on stage. You could see they were in their element showcasing their culture and just being together. The kai was delicious, and the insight we were gifted intoo the history and culture of Cook Island Maori will be with us forever. Thank you Highland Paradise and we wish you all the best for years to come.

It wasn't cheap but I felt you got good value for money. Free pick up and drop off at your accommodation, we were picked up at 6pm and got home at 10.30 so a long evening. Very detailed history of the tribe and interesting tour of the land. The buffet was delicious and lots of local foods. Plenty of food for everyone. The compare/Tribal elder was knowledgeable and he kept us all entertained. The best part was the cultural show which was over an hour long and depicted the tribe through the ages. Highly recommend. Just a word of advise. The bar shuts suddenly with no warning just before the show starts (after dinner) so make sure you get a drink in with your dessert!

This tour was an excellent way to immerse yourself in the background and culture of the Cook Islands people. It was very informing in an interesting and fun way. The food and especially the show - dancing, drums and overall entertainment were very impressive.
