This tour was amazing - the tour guides history knowledge of the island, the people and their way of life was humbling to see and hear. But the absolute best part of the tour is the humour!!! They're are so funny, you'll have sore cheek bones after spending the day with this crew. Totally hilarious. The lunch provided was just... More

A fun way to see the countryside of Rarotonga. Our driver was Mr Useless, who was not useless in the least. His driving was wild but fun as he chose anyway but the highway to drive. The other vehicle stuck to the tracks, but not Mr Useless. We had a blast. This guy was full of information about the flora,... More

The tour guides were great story tellers and shared the history of the island, their culture with some great humour. The tour takes you around the island and up the mountain for a bit to see some great views over the island. At the end of the tour you get a lovely BBQ-ed lunch while listening to some live island... We chose the Raro Safari Tour as our first big activity on our vacation. The tour cost less than $100 NZ and was well worth it. The tour lasted roughly four hours that day Doing this tour first gave us an overview of the back country and culture, plus it touched some of the more notable sites to see. About... More

We had already been to most of the places that we were taken, however, Big Mac was able to share local knowledge that made the trip worthwhile. He was able to point out plants that we hadn't even noticed while travelling around by ourselves. He also gave us great information on Gospel Day, that if he hadn't have told us... More

A really informative trip up into the mountains. We had a very hard case driver called Mr Useless who was really interesting and answered so many questions that we had. If you want to find out more about the Island of Rarotonga this trip is a must.

This trip was very informative and ongoing. Our driver was happy and cheerful and kept us entertained the whole way. The guides were very knowledgeable about the local history and this made for a pleasant day.

Great tour. We had kids (3,6) with us and they were probably a little too young for it. Lots of great info about the local flora and fauna, food etc. Lovely guides.

Not a lot of real off road 4WD action, but lots of information about the island and especially the history. Heard most of it again the next night at the Te Vara Nui village tour and show. So no need to do both experiences if time is short. Nice lunch by the way.
