Reachable by hiking trail or four-wheel vehicle, Rarotonga's only fall is also known as Papua Waterfall, because water from the Papua stream spills down the cliff into a beautiful swimming hole.

Went for a drive one day and saw the great graffiti wall and sign for the waterfall so we popped in to check it out. There's a short drive through some nice forest and at the waterfall a few picnic tables u if you pack...More

We drove to the waterfall in a car we rented. It was $5 to use the road that is on private property. Beautiful natural waterfall. Bring bug spray! The water is used to provide water to the island. You cannot swim in it.

I’m just home from my third visit to Raro, and, as usual, I’m just a tad bit reluctant to tell you about a mostly undiscovered gem on Raro. However, in keeping with the spirit of TripAdviser and it’s wonderful travelers, I will share yet another...More

I went on Pa's walk which is not a long walk but tough. Quite muddy and in parts using ropes for help. We were picked up from bungalows and taken to a meeting point on opposite side of the mountains. The waterfalls can almost be...More

Very nice drive up to the falls, and we went after heavy rain, lots of mozzies so go prepared. We went for a swim which was very refreshing as went here with Raro Buggy Tour. Would recommend a visit here as very tranquil

We are staying very near so thought we should see it. We were a little taken aback to be asked to pay $5 but I suppose somebody needs to keep up the road. It seems this is the south end of the cross island walk,...More

There was some unofficial looking people blocking the road and collecting $5 to visit the waterfall. I have no idea what this money is being used for. We visited the waterfall when there was hardly any water flowing. You would see more water flushing your...More

Not much to see for the $5/car fee and the mozzies will pick you up and carry you away if you let them! Only flowing if there's been rain.

This has been a favourite visiting place for tourists and locals for many years - make sure you go when there has been recent rainfall otherwise nothing to see. In recent times however, Pa Ariki is charging $5 to travel on the road to visit...More

It is disappointing that Pa Ariki has allowed locals to charge for this beautiful part of Rarotonga. They should not be charging out of principle and have become greedy. Please do not encourage them by paying to see the waterfall.
