The bridge was washed out several years ago. You can go see it at the "end" of the Copper River Highway. There are outfitters that can boat you over to the glacier there. Interesting for sure. Nice views.

Going to the end of the road was one of our main reasons to go to Cordova. But you can't get there any more. A bridge washed out at mile 38 and appears to be permanently closed.

Enjoyable day trip to the Miles Glacier, Child's Glacier and Million Dollar Bridge area, with awesome views, and a sense of adventure. You have to use a boat to get there, though, because the road bridge was destroyed some years ago. We used Childs Glacier...More

To get to the bridge you have to drive to the end of Copper River Road, then Captain Jack took us across the river in his airboat and then drove us in a van to the bridge. There is a really nice shelter and park...More

I had great time. Glacier has changed a lot since my last visit. Bring mosquito dope. They are very bad.
