I should probably preface my review by mentioning that I am a mediocre skier at best. However, I have had the privilege of skiing in California, Idaho, Washington, and Maine, and this is absolutely a favorite. How shall I begin? The scenery. You just can't beat Alaska. You can even see the ocean as you ski down. Really fun vibe... More

We've been skiing here for years and still love the place. Great skiing with incredible scenery. Ski lessons for kids or adults if needed. Very nice day lodge and beautiful hotel. Lots of other accomodations available and plenty of dining options in the area.

First time skier? Aleyska is the best place to be. I took a ski lesson with in two hours i learned to ski. The staff and instructors are nice, friendly and they love what they are doing. And the place so amazing.

I returned here for the first time since moving away from Alaska 18 years ago. It was just as wonderful as I remembered. I am and will always be a beginning skier, so I love that the snow is so great and that there are places for me to enjoy skiing. My 6 year old son had ski lessons with... More

My wife and I are beginners and we took a ski lesson on a Wednesday morning and had a fantastic time. I guess the weekdays are less busy so we took a group lesson for $80.00 and ended up getting a private lesson for two hours as we were the only two there. It was about 5 to 10 degrees... More

So. Much. Fun. My husband an I accompanied a few exchange students so they could learn to ski during a great promo the resort offers each year. They got lessons while we skied and ate at the Sitzmark pub on the mountain. We started on the green (easy) trails which were fun enough for OK skiers. The blue (moderate) trails... More

We stop in Alyeska for gas on our way home from Anchorage. We have stayed at the lodge for a few family events, but never for more than a night or two. The ski area is nice, but there's not a lot to do at the lodge in the off-season or when you can't / don't ski. The lodge is... More

The Mountain Learning School at Aleyeska has top notch ski instructors. This is the 3rd season my kids have had lessons and they have learned so much and had wonderful experiences each time. This year Cedar taught my youngest. She isn't the most compliant when it comes to slowing down on the hill, but he did an excellent job teaching... More

Great resort and ski area. Take the tram up and ski right back to the hotel for a warm drink. The runs are first rate and there is something for everyone skill wise

My wife and I had a truly wonderful (and exhausting!) time skiing at Alyeska. The mountain had many chairlifts and quads in addition to their aerial tram. There are many, many trails for skiers of all levels of ability. The views are really spectacular. We can't wait to return for more fun!
