This tour was part of an excursion through there Bald Eagle Preserve and we were so glad it was included. We started with a visit to the long house where we saw Tlingit dancing and drumming and we allowed to participate in some of the...More

They did an excellent job of sharing their culture with us. I really liked the headphones they had that allowed everyone to hear the presentations as we were walking.

Tour of area, canoe carved from a single log, cultural center and long house dance. This place is beautiful - alongside a river and replete with forests and native Alaskan culture.

This center is a must see. We took the self guided tour and the gentleman inside took us through the whole center explaining everything. Not only were the exhibits great but his narration taught us so much about his culture. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

The whale house carvings and totems were beautiful but it is a very small gallery without much else. Nice building. I would recommend the self-guided tour ($22 I think). The guided tour was $35 and about 1-1.5 hours with much more detail than what I...More

Caught this gem just one day before it closed for the season. At the time, we were the only two visitors, so Jack Strong gave us a personal tour, highlighting his family history. The Heritage Center exists mostly to provide a sanctuary for local native...More
