Very busy bar on the Homer spit specially during the tourist season, but fun. Just wonder through and see all of the dollar bills decorated and attached to the walls and ceilings since the beginning of the season... at season’s end all will be donated...More

We dropped in at the Salty Dawg Saloon for a beer after fishing one day. No pets no credits cards was the greeting. The owners were a cool old couple. There were dollar bills all over the ceiling, walls and doors. They were not very...More

Part of this awesome bar is a very historic building on the Homer Spit. It is cozy and clean. The bar is covered in signed dollar bills which you really must do!

It is *the* place people stop in, and it shows when you're trying to get a drink at the bar and it takes twenty minutes. It's unique and worth a stop, but be prepared to order two drinks at a time so you don't have...More

This is a landmark in Homer. One dollar bills cover all the walls and ceiling from customers. It is dark, the bartenders are all business, the surroundings rustic to make this definitely a one-of-a-kind place. The bar slants a bit, so keep your hand on...More

We stopped by the saloon to put our dollar on the wall, make some photos and of course get a drink. Such a cool spot to visit in Homer

Sure, the bartenders are a bit salty, and you can’t get a fancy cocktail here, but we had a grand time. The decor will keep your eyes busy, and we enjoyed a group singing old Irish shanties while we drank. Don’t miss it!

Bar staff seemed bored and disinterested. I was served a bottle without a glass and had to ask twice for a glass. The two working seemed more interested in talking to each other than serving customers. We only stayed for one drink and won’t be...More

Well worth a visit to have a pint of ale! Certainly a unique place!! They only accept cash, and when we visited only had Alaskan beer, they were out of Denali brew. They offer free WiFi Staff were fantastic.

I don't know about kids. Didn't see any when we were there. No food. It is definitely a dive bar.
